Welcome to my Diving page, here you will see pictures from my diving trip to Australia's Great barrier Reef.  Check back from time to time for updates.

All of these pictures were taken in December of 1999, at Miln Reef in Northern Queensland, Australia. The Town we left from was called Cairns (pronounced Cans) and the Dive shop was Pro-Dive, I highly recommend them if your interested.

The Great Barrier Reef  resides off the North Eastern edge of Queensland, Australia, it stretches for thousands of miles and supports many different species of animals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.  This incredible ecosystem has managed to survive and flourish in our modern times while many others (such as Hawaii) have become gray and dead due to Chemicals, and Agriculture, (sugar cane, pine apple and golf course fertilizers kill the tiny creatures that make up the reef) boats, and general human waste products.  The Australian Government has taken steps to protect the reef from damage and proclaimed most of it off limits for fishing scavenging. While diving on the reef we were very careful not to disturb the bottom or to touch the creatures that make up the underwater wonderland. I highly recommend a visit to the reef, one of natures last great refuges.
